A few clarifications, because one can never be too precise:
1/ Even if the term isn’t commonly used here, it should be “medicinal” and not “medical”; I misspoke.
2/ For those who might be surprised, yes, I always speak in the conditional when it comes to the effects these mushrooms could have on our bodies, because even though we all belong to the same species – Homo sapiens – we each have different genetics, “terrain,” and physiological histories.

People who sell you certainties in white coats are salespeople, not scientists.

It’s heartwarming to read this when I think back to my first six months at the market, when I was eating Lion’s Mane twice a day just to avoid composting it. Then one curious person came, then another, then a few who had been taking Hericium capsules for years and said to me: “Wow, real Lion’s Mane, I can’t believe it! I want some!”

And now, it’s rare that I have any left by 11 a.m. 😉

So, at least let me correct this:
The “Black Pearl” mushroom is a hybrid between the European and Asian grey oyster mushrooms, not with eryngii (king oyster) 😉
