Shipping and Delivery
1. Preparation and Shipping Times
Processing times vary according to the biological and technical nature of the products ordered:
- Stock products : (Mushroom kits, liquid cultures, hardware, accessories) Processed and shipped within 1 to 3 business days.
- Live products to be prepared : (Custom cultures) 1 to 3 days of technical preparation, followed by 3 to 5 weeks of growth depending on the biological cycles of the species. This applies to agar cultures and grain spawn.
- Shipping based on biological maturity: We work in two-week cycles. If your order falls between production runs, a short wait may be necessary to ensure we ship a kit at its ideal stage of maturity.
Weather Conditions and Biological Viability
The transport of live material (mycelium, liquid cultures, agar) is extremely sensitive to heatwaves and frost. In order to guarantee maximum viability upon receipt, we reserve the right to temporarily delay the shipping of your order (with your agreement via email) in the event of extreme weather conditions.
2. Mixed Orders
If your order contains several items with different lead times, the entire order will be shipped in a single shipment, based on the longest lead time.
Tip: To receive certain items faster, we suggest placing two separate orders.
3. Shipping Methods and Tracking
Shipments are handled by Swiss Post:
- Switzerland : A or B Mail. Envelopes are sent via A Mail. Packages are shipped via Economy Mail (usual delivery within 2 business days).
- International : For international shipping, please contact us directly at: hello[at]floydfungi.ch
Upon shipping, a tracking number will be personally sent to you via e-mail.
4. Rates and Customs
Rates : In 2026, we are still applying our 2025 shipping rates to promote the accessibility of our cultures.
Customs (Outside Switzerland) : Any customs duties and import taxes are the exclusive responsibility of the recipient, according to local regulations.
5. Integrity and Claims
The buyer is responsible for checking the goods upon receipt:
- Transport Damage : Report within 24 hours with photos to hello[at]floydfungi.ch.
- Biological Vigor : Any anomaly observed upon opening must be documented (photos) and reported immediately for technical expertise.
Returns and Right of Withdrawal
7. Right of Withdrawal
You have a period of 14 calendar days after receipt to return a product. It must be unused, in perfect condition for resale, and in its intact original packaging.
8. Products Excluded from Returns
For reasons of hygiene and biological viability, the following items are neither returnable nor exchangeable:
- Live products : Mushroom kits, agar cultures, liquid cultures, colonized grain (spawn).
- Sterile products : Any sealed item whose seal has been opened.
- Custom orders : Products manufactured specifically upon request.
9. Procedure and Refunds
Contact us at hello[at]floydfungi.ch before any return. Return shipping costs are at the customer’s expense (except in the case of our error). Refunds are processed within 5 to 10 business days after inspection.
